Both major Swiss property portals show virtual tours right inside the listing. What you need, where the link goes, and what happens when hosting runs out.
my.matterport.com/show/?m=…. ImmoScout24 has a dedicated field for virtual tours in the listing. On Homegate, a Matterport tour that has been added appears as a “360° Rundgang” button below the photo gallery and opens right inside the listing. Important: the tour is only visible for as long as its hosting runs.A 3D tour is not a file you upload but a web page at the hosting provider. Portals therefore only need the link – the portal embeds it in the listing itself. On Homegate, for example, the listing does contain an iframe, but its source is the ordinary tour link. You only need the embed code (iframe) for your own website.
| Where | What you need |
|---|---|
| ImmoScout24 listing | link to the tour – the portal embeds it itself |
| Homegate listing | link to the tour – the portal embeds it itself |
| Your own website | embed code (iframe) |
| PDF brochure, notice, flyer | QR code leading to the link |
| Email to prospects | link |
Matterport offers the link in several variants: branded, unbranded and an “MLS” variant for property portals. The MLS variant shows no branding, removes links in tag posts and hides VR mode (Matterport Support). For portals it is the most restrained choice; the branded variant suits your own website.
ImmoScout24 describes it itself: besides photos, videos and PDF files, a virtual tour can be added to a listing. The tour is created with a provider; the result is a link that you insert in the listing (ImmoScout24, March 2025).
Since 2017, the ImmoScout24 app can also capture its own 360° views, which are attached to the listing automatically on publication (Ringier, 2017). That is a panorama tour, not a 3D model with dollhouse view and floor plan – the difference is explained in Create a 3D tour yourself or hire a professional.
On Homegate, a Matterport tour that has been added opens right inside the listing: below the photo gallery there is a “360° Rundgang” button, and the “Besichtigung” (viewing) section states “Virtuelle Besichtigung möglich” – virtual viewing available (observed on a public Homegate listing, 24 September 2026).
We did not find a public step-by-step guide from Homegate. Agents who publish via property software usually add the link to the property there; private advertisers check whether their access offers a virtual tour field when creating the listing. Many advertisers also put the link in the listing text, for example “Virtueller Rundgang: my.matterport.com/show/?m=…” – so it remains reachable even without a dedicated field. If in doubt, Homegate customer service can tell you which field your listing product has.
The tour only stays online as long as a subscription keeps it active. When hosting expires, the link stops working – in the listing, the brochure and on the website at the same time. So plan the hosting period to match the marketing. At RoomView360, 12, 24 or 36 months are included depending on the package; after that, renewal costs CHF 60 per year, and we deliver the link and embed code with every package at no extra charge. Details are on Pricing & Packages and in What a virtual tour costs.
If a flat is re-let later, the same tour can be reused as long as it is active. If the flat is occupied by then, any new capture requires the tenant’s consent – see Photos in occupied rental flats.

According to ImmoScout24, a virtual tour can be added to a listing alongside photos, videos and PDF files: the tour is created with a provider and the link is inserted in the listing. Then check in the preview that the tour opens.
For Homegate and ImmoScout24, the link. You need the embed code (iframe) for your own website. For PDF brochures and notices, a QR code leading to the link works well.
